Friendship holds so much value that those who pretend to be friends to get things from others miss. What value is in friendship? Well, I must tell you that from the highest point of friendship (i.e. friendship with YAH) to the lowest point of friendship (i.e. friendship with animals) Satan fights. Only many humans fail to see the fight against friendship going on as Satan makes couples fight (i.e. a fight against friendship in marriage) the same way he makes parents fight with their children (i.e. a fight against YAH’s plan for family), then he also makes siblings fight (i.e. still a fight against YAH’s plan for family to kill friendship in it), until it gets to fighting humans’ friendship with animals, plants, etc. (i.e. the fight against the works of YAH’s hands). If you understand Satan is at war with friendship that Father YAH ordains, then you would see why he makes fake friends act real to keep out such real relationships through the schools, places of worship, employment, associations, neighbourhoods, etc.
Friendship is walking on one path towards Father YAH’s will. Friendship is more about giving than what you can receive from the other person. Therefore, any friendship that tries to always pull you out of Father YAH’s will for your life or take all from you is not true friendship. Friends should never be trying to lead you into sin but rather pointing you back to Father YAH and His will for your life. This is why I love to repeat Osward J. Smith’s approach to friendship as you making friends that you can have for eternity. Without such purpose for friendship, you would have many Nephilims, Satanists, and the like in your circles who are there to derail you while pretending to love bomb you (i.e. give fake show of love). If you do not know what love is how can you tell that what you are receiving is fake? That is why knowing the purpose for things before venturing into it makes you smart in discerning fake from real. Know the purpose for friendship and you would make the right friends. You would make friends with those that are Father YAH’s friends, not those that are Father YAH’s enemies. My son and daughter, those who love to do wrong will try to trick you. Don't listen to them. They will say, "Come with us. Let's hide and beat to death anyone who happens to walk by. We will swallow them whole, as the grave swallows the dying. We will take everything they have and fill our houses with stolen goods. So join us, and you can share everything we get." My son and daughter, don't follow them. Don't even take the first step along that path. They run to do something evil, and they cannot wait to kill someone (Pro 1:10-16 ERV emphasis mine).
Humans can be very good friends with Father YAH if they want to be. Jesus knew exactly what He was saying when He said: But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Mat 6:33 ESV). Simply put, Jesus is saying “seek peace with God (Father YAH) and everything else would be added unto you.” Peace with God (Father YAH) is the beginning of living for a human person because that is when everything begins to make sense. God (Father YAH) is the only authorized educator for a human person because He created us (humans), which, in turn means He alone truly knows what He created. Father YAH is a true friend to humanity beyond just being a Father to us. Only a true friend gives dignity like creating humans in His image and likeness to be one with them: Then God said, "Now let's make humans who will be like us. They will rule over all the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. They will rule over all the large animals and all the little things that crawl on the earth." So God created humans in his own image. He created them to be like himself. He created them male and female (Gen 1:26-27 ERV). Father YAH gave humanity everything even when they had done nothing to deserve it. God blessed them and said to them, "Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. Rule over every living thing that moves on the earth (Gen 1:28 ERV)." However, since the fall of humans in the Garden of Eden when they yielded to Satan to disobey God (Father YAH), Satan (a former angel of God) elevated himself to the place of educator to the humans which is the root cause of the sin problem on this earth. Satan does everything to cause humans to be separated from Father YAH on this earth and for eternity. For this reason, James warned: You people are not faithful to God! You should know that loving what the world has is the same as hating God. So anyone who wants to be friends with this evil world becomes God's enemy (Jas 4:4 ERV). Friendship with the world for any believer will cause them to learn Satan’s knowledge which devalues humans, tells humans who they are not so as to reduce them to nothing and keep them far from God (Father YAH). Therefore, it is of utmost importance that humans seek God’s knowledge always which dignifies humans, makes them operate in His purpose for their creation and makes them one with Him (i.e. a direct friendship with God).
A summary of the litmus test for true friendship are the fruits the friends and friendship bear: You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You need never confuse grapevines with thorn bushes or figs with thistles. Different kinds of fruit trees can quickly be identified by examining their fruit. A variety that produces delicious fruit never produces an inedible kind. And a tree producing an inedible kind can’t produce what is good. So the trees having the inedible fruit are chopped down and thrown on the fire. Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit produced (Mat 7:16-20 TLB). So, let us take some examples of real friends versus fake friends from the Holy Bible to help us understand friendship more.
Fake Friends
There are a lot of fake friends recorded throughout the Holy Bible. Such fake friends live for the outward show but have not depth. It is a lie! It is like Kathryn Kuhlman described, when she said: “We live such false lives. Sometimes, when I think of it, I remember the spun sugar candy I used to get as a child when the fair came to Concordia. Oh, it was beautiful to look at. That wonderful, pink, cotton candy. “Oh, Papa, I think it costs only a nickel. Please, Papa, please!” The first thing I bought at the fair was cotton candy. But did you ever try to eat it? You get only a couple of grains of sugar. That’s all there is to it. It looks so big and wonderful. You think, how in the world am I going to eat all this? But in five minutes it’s all gone. And all you had was just a couple of grains of sugar.”
“You know, most living is like that. We live such cotton-candy lives, so empty, so useless, so meaningless. It’s all such a big sham. It’s hard to find people who are really genuine. Many people aren’t sincere about anything—so unreliable, so untrustworthy.” My disclaimer here is that, no one should mistake me quoting Kathryn Kuhlman’s works to say everything she preached was correct. I have simply highlighted some facts but it is the job of the believer to sit with the Holy Spirit to divide truth in any material they read so that they do not learn errors in the process regardless of who the preacher is.
Fake friends are like wolves in sheep clothing who are simply devourers posing as friends. Like I said earlier, there are a lot of them in the Holy Bible but I have listed a few here:
1) Adam: Adam wanted what he could get from Father YAH, not Father YAH’s will. So, when Satan offered him the earth, he was willing to betray both Eve and Father YAH to get it all for himself. Thus, this fulfilled Scripture to show that Satan has not changed and still offers humans the world to sell their souls: Then the devil led Jesus to the top of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the wonderful things in them. The devil said, "If you will bow down and worship me, I will give you all these things." Jesus said to him, "Get away from me, Satan! The Scriptures say, 'You must worship the Lord your God. Serve only him (Mat 4:8-10 ERV)!'"
So, Jesus said: What profit is there if you gain the whole world—and lose eternal life? What can be compared with the value of eternal life (Mat 16:26 TLB)? Adam shows us a child betraying his father, and a husband betraying his wife, which also shows us how humans can deliberately choose Satan over Father YAH.
2) Cain: Cain wanted to hang around Father YAH for benefits not for what he could give or to do Father YAH’s will. He wants to cheat Father YAH but get the best from Father YAH. Therefore, he ended up fulfilling this scripture: … for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant and contemptible (1 Sam 2:30 AMP). Cain showed us a brother murdering his own blood brother.
3) Balaam: Based on the book of Jasher, Balaam claimed to be helping the children of Cush but stole their kingdom. However, Moses helped them get it back. Balaam fulfils the scripture: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy… (Jhn 10:10 ESV). Balaam shows us a contractor turning against his employer.
4) Delilah: Delilah only associated with Samson to win his trust so that she could destroy him. Thus, she fulfilled how King David described the wicked: Don’t punish me with all the wicked ones who speak so sweetly to their neighbors while planning to murder them (Psa 28:3 TLB). Since Delilah is a Nephilim, take that as how the Nephilims truly are to humans even if they pretend. Delilah shows us a supposed lover betraying her lover, thus showing us that the Nephilims have no love as they claim.
5) Eli: Eli wanted to be associated with Father YAH as priest and enjoy the benefits of being a priest without caring about how his own sons treated Father YAH badly. So, Father YAH said: Why then do you kick at (despise) My sacrifice and My offering which I commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, by fattening yourselves with the choicest part of every offering of My people Israel?’ “Therefore the LORD God of Israel declares, ‘I did indeed say that your house and that of [Aaron] your father would walk [in priestly service] before Me forever.’ But now the LORD declares, ‘Far be it from Me—for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant and contemptible (1 Sam 2:29-30 AMP). Eli shows us Father YAH’s representative choosing his children over Father YAH.
6) Joab: Joab did not care if King David killing Uriah was a sin against Father YAH and unfair to Uriah as a fellow soldier of theirs to advise him against it. Hence, he did not care for Uriah as a friend or even King David as a friend to advise him that what he was about to do to Uriah was wrong. Do you see how Joab betrayed David at the end by trying to choose a different king than King David chose to replace himself (David)? Joab did not care about Father YAH’s plan for the Hebrews and did not care if Adonijah will even fulfil building Father YAH a temple. This is why I can use this scripture to summarize Joab’s character: "Don't secretly hate any of your neighbors. But tell them openly what they have done wrong so that you will not be just as guilty of sin as they are. Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don't try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD (Lev 19:17-18 ERV). Joab shows a colleague betraying another colleague due to blind obedience and he shows us a nephew betraying his uncle.
7) Jonadab: Jonadab who was a relative to Amnon (i.e. his cousin) was a very bad friend to Amnon. Jonadab did not see incest as wrong to rebuke his cousin (Amnon) but encouraged him to trick his father (King David) to get to his sister (Tamar). At the end, Jonadab acted like the accuser of the brethren in Amnon’s death without revealing that he was the one that gave Amnon bad advice. From this, we can say: He/she that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed (Pro 13:20 KJV emphasis mine).
If you want to grow in wisdom, spend time with the wise. Walk with the wicked and you’ll eventually become just like them (Pro 13:20 TPT). Jonadab shows us a cousin being the source of bad influence to his cousin.
8) Absalom: Absalom put himself up to be better than his father (King David) when he did not mean well for the people, love them or even have Father YAH’s will for them at heart like his father (King David) did. Absalom cut his life short through sin. So, we can summarize his end as the consequence of breaking Father YAH’s Law: "You must honor and respect your father and your mother. Do this so that you will have a full life in the land that the LORD your God gives you (Exo 20:12 ERV).” Absalom shows us a son betraying his father.
9) Ahithophel: Ahithophel pretended to be King David’s friend to enjoy every benefit that came with it without caring about King David’s reign because he saw an opportunity to climb higher in the kingdom through Absalom. Thus, Ahithophel fulfilled the following scriptures: The poor have no friends, not even their neighbors, but the rich have many friends (Pro 14:20 ERV). Ahithophel shows us an advisor turning against his employer.
Wealth will bring you many friends, but become poor and your friends will leave you (Pro 19:4 ERV).
10) Ahab: Ahab who was married to the female demon called Jezebel had been totally corrupted with evil. So, he pretended to be friends with Jehoshaphat while trying to trick him to die in his stead. We can summarize Ahab’s end with the following scriptures: My enemies never tell the truth. They only want to destroy people. Their words come from mouths that are like open graves. They use their lying tongues to deceive others. Punish them, God! Let them be caught in their own traps. They have turned against you, so punish them for their many crimes (Psa 5:9-10 ERV).
I did nothing wrong, but they tried to trap me. For no reason at all, they dug a pit to catch me. So let them fall into their own traps. Let them stumble into their own nets. Let some unknown danger catch them (Psa 35:7-8 ERV). Ahab shows us an in-law setting his in-law up for murder.
11) Gehazi: Gehazi was hanging around Prophet Elisha because of what he could get from him. So, he got a sad end when he tried to trade Father YAH’s gifts (i.e. healing through Prophet Elisha) for money (carnal things). Gehazi fulfilled the following scripture: "That servant knew what his master wanted him to do. But he did not make himself ready or try to do what his master wanted. So that servant will be punished very much (Luk 12:47 ERV)! Gehazi shows us a follower betraying the one he was claiming to follow.
12) Pharisees: The Pharisees pretended to be friends of Father YAH just to enjoy the benefits that it came with like fanatics without truly caring about Father YAH or His will. They were simply as the following scriptures tell: "Be careful of false prophets. They come to you and look gentle like sheep. But they are really dangerous like wolves (Mat 7:15 ERV).”
"Listen! I am sending you, and you will be like sheep among wolves. So be smart like snakes. But also be like doves and don't hurt anyone (Mat 10:16 ERV).” The Pharisees show us how the supposed spiritual gatekeepers for Father YAH were working against Him and His people. Therefore, we see from the Pharisees that humans can deliberately choose Satan over Father YAH. That is still the Pharisee spirit Satan has spread in the Church today that if Jesus were to come again, those claiming to love Him in His Church would be the ones trying to fight Him. Why? It is fanaticism, not true love. Fanaticism is wanting to be associated with Father YAH without caring how He wants to be represented. Satan and his demons teach fanaticism, so do the Nephilims and Satanists. Be wise!
13) Judas Iscariot: Judas Iscariot was looking for what he could get, not what he could learn from Jesus or even Father YAH’s will. So, he betrayed Jesus while pretending to be a friend. We can summarize Judas Iscariot’s character with the following scriptures: Jesus answered, "One who has dipped his bread in the same bowl with me will be the one to hand me over (Mat 26:23 ERV).
But Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you using the kiss of friendship to hand over the Son of Human to his enemies (Luk 22:48 ERV emphasis mine)?" Judas Iscariot shows us a follower betraying the one he claimed to follow, which shows us how the wicked always betray the righteous.
14) Paul: Paul was one person who had a hard crash. He began wanting nothing but later wanted everything for himself: the Apostleship, joint-heirship with Jesus, carnal things, crowns and rewards in Heaven, churches of his own, spiritual children, loyalty to him, being the hub of all wisdom and spiritual gifts, etc. So, Paul defaulted back to acting like a true Pharisee to the Church of Christ to exalt himself as a know-it-all while accusing others like Apostle Peter who knew more than him. For this reason, we can summarize Paul’s character with the following scripture: You are a hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to get the dust out of your friend's eye (Mat 7:5 ERV). Paul shows us a believer hating another believer to even defame them and he shows us a believer challenging His Master’s structure and omniscience.
Paul’s pattern has been the major pattern for many supposed believers today, as they journey through Paul’s thought patterns and actions as the true path regardless of how they contradict Jesus’ shown path. You would think mistakes cannot happen with supposed good people but it can. We see King David make some when killing Uriah yet he corrected himself and chased his relationship with Father YAH as utmost. He said: Create a new, clean heart within me. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please you (Psa 51:10 TPT).
God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again (Psa 51:10 ERV).
Such mistakes tend to happen with good people when selfishness is involved, not selflessness. This is why James warned the Church about selfishness when he said: Are there any among you who are really wise and understanding? Then you should show your wisdom by living right. You should do what is good with humility. A wise person does not boast. If you are selfish and have bitter jealousy in your hearts, you have no reason to boast. Your boasting is a lie that hides the truth. That kind of "wisdom" does not come from God. That "wisdom" comes from the world. It is not spiritual. It is from the devil. Where there is jealousy and selfishness, there will be confusion and every kind of evil (Jas 3:13-16 ERV). From the foregoing, we can see that selfishness has no place in true friendship because sin is always the product of selfishness, never righteousness.
Next, let us review the true friends in the Holy Bible to see how they differ from the fake friends and understand what makes them real.
Real Friends
Real friends are very rare to find because not many humans are genuine anymore since many have taken on the character of Satan. As a result, only fools believe that everybody is their friend. When you find real friends, they are like treasures that are hard to find. They are gold! The fake friends are as common as wood yet they pretend to be gold or even accuse gold of being wood in order to confuse people to leave true friends. I can simply summarize a true friend as having faith with works: My brothers and sisters, if a person claims to have faith but does nothing, that faith is worth nothing. Faith like that cannot save anyone (Jas 2:14 ERV).
James then uses Abraham’s works as a way of showing us how Abraham’s friendship with Father YAH was genuine and had good fruits to show for it: Our father Abraham was made right with God by what he did. He offered his son Isaac to God on the altar. So you see that Abraham's faith and what he did worked together. His faith was made perfect by what he did. This shows the full meaning of the Scriptures that say, "Abraham believed God, and because of this faith he was accepted as one who is right with God." Abraham was called "God's friend." So you see that people are made right with God by what they do. They cannot be made right by faith alone (Jas 2:21-24 ERV). Let us take a few examples from the Holy Bible:
1) Eve: Eve did not want anything from Father YAH but His will to be done. So, she exposed Satan and asked Father YAH for forgiveness, and He forgave her. Thus, making Eve the first human Father YAH forgave, and He can tell you this as the fact. We can liken Eve’s situation to the following scripture: But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done (1 Jhn 1:9 ERV). Eve shows us a daughter choosing to ally with her father to bring his righteous will to pass and a wife choosing Father YAH over Satan who her husband chose.
2) Abel: Abel was not looking to cheat Father YAH or his own brother (Cain). He was just in his dealing. Abel’s situation with Father YAH can be summarized by the following scriptures: Honor the LORD with your wealth and the first part of your harvest (Pro 3:9 ERV).
We should not be like Cain, who yielded to the Evil One and brutally murdered his own brother, Abel. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s righteous (1 Jhn 3:12 TPT). Abel shows us a reciprocal love between a father and a child and shows us how humans can love Father YAH in truth.
3) Enoch: Enoch was looking to fix the problem on the earth that was going to cause destruction to Father YAH’s earth. He was not about asking: “who pays me?” Enoch put righteousness as his ultimate over everything else. We can liken Enoch’s situation to the following scriptures where he prevented destruction from happening to the whole of humanity which would have happened if there was no intercessor: The anger of a king releases the messenger of death, but a wise person will know how to pacify his wrath (Pro 16:14 TPT).
“I searched for a man or woman among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for [the sake of] the land, that I would not destroy it, but I found no one [not even one]. “Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; I have repaid their way [by bringing it] upon their own heads,” says the Lord GOD (Eze 22:30-31 AMP emphasis mine). Enoch showed us a son’s love for his father and shows a son’s love for his father’s righteous children. He showed us how to truly love our neighbour as ourselves in looking out for the righteous even when he had passed his own exam on earth.
4) Sarah: Sarah did not want anything from Abraham but gave all to him. She was even willing to please Abraham by permitting him to commit adultery with her maid when Abraham wanted children from her that she could not give to him at the time he wanted them. However, we see that she was always there to rebuke Abraham and point him back to Father YAH and Father YAH’s plan each time he was derailing. Father YAH proved that it was His stance on the matter by siding with Sarah.
Even after Sarah gave Abraham the promised child (Isaac), he still wanted more children outside Father YAH’s will and did so with Keturah. But, Sarah was not there to stop him at that point to prevent the destruction to Father YAH’s will that choice has caused. While Sarah was alive, she stopped Abraham’s attempt to enter a polygamous relationship with Hagar, and as shown in the book of Jasher, Sarah was truly concerned about Abraham getting off his donkey while visiting Ishmael because she knew that more children could come out from such actions when Abraham was unsupervised. Therefore, we can sumarize Sarah with the following scriptures: If you can find a truly good wife, she is worth more than precious gems (Pro 31:10 TLB)!
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised (Pro 31:30 ESV).
Two people are better than one. When two people work together, they get more work done. If one person falls, the other person can reach out to help. But those who are alone when they fall have no one to help them (Ecc 4:9-10 ERV). Sarah showed us how a wife can love her husband yet rebuke his sin and point him back to Father YAH for his correction. That is a good wife!
5) Eliezer: Eliezer was a friend to his master (Abraham) and was a faithful servant. Eliezer cared about his master’s progeny to ensure that he co-operated with Father YAH to help safeguard it. We can summarize Eliezer with the following scriptures: “The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others] (Mat 22:39 AMP).’
"Who is the wise and trusted servant? The master trusts one servant to give the other servants their food at the right time. Who is the one the master trusts to do that work? When the master comes and finds that servant doing the work he gave him, it will be a day of blessing for that servant. I can tell you without a doubt, the master will choose that servant to take care of everything he owns (Mat 24:45-47 ERV). Eliezer showed us how a servant can truly love his master and be loyal to him to ensure that righteousness continues in his master’s lineage.
6) Joseph: Joseph was a true friend to his father and we can see how much he loved his father (Jacob) in the book of Jasher. Joseph fulfilled Father YAH’s command: "You must honor and respect your father and your mother. Do this so that you will have a full life in the land that the LORD your God gives you (Exo 20:12 ERV). Joseph also brought joy to his father: A wise son listens to his father's advice, but a proud son will not listen to correction (Pro 13:1 ERV).
The father of a good person is very happy. A wise child brings him joy (Pro 23:24 ERV). Joseph shows us the mutual love that can exist between a father and his son. He also shows us how a human can truly love Father YAH.
7) Moses: Moses was a friend to Father YAH and even his brother Aaron, as he fought to secure his role as high priest which Aaron almost forfeited by building the idol and was challenged by Korah, Dathan and Abiram for. Moses fulfilled the following scriptures: He said, "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:36-39 ERV).' Moses shows us true love for a brother, true love for Father YAH, true love for Father YAH’s people (the Hebrews) and true love for Father YAH’s will. Moses showed us true love from a representative of Father YAH towards Him.
8) Joshua: Joshua was not concerned about getting spiritual gifts but was a friend to Moses. He was not seeking glory for himself so he did not mind completing Moses’ work and still acknowledging Moses for the work. We can summarize Joshua’s friendship with the following scriptures: An undependable messenger causes a lot of trouble, but the trustworthy and wise messengers release healing wherever they go (Pro 13:17 TPT).
A reliable, trustworthy messenger refreshes the heart of his master, like a gentle breeze blowing at harvest time—cooling the sweat from his brow (Pro 25:13 TPT). Joshua shows us how a follower can be faithful to the one they follower. Joshua sought the completion of Moses’ God-given assignment as he would do his own. Joshua was selfless!
9) Ruth: Ruth was a true friend to Naomi even when Naomi had nothing to give to her. Ruth and Naomi had a reciprocal love that showed us the following scripture: And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:39 ERV).' They followed this in their interaction with one another. Therefore, Ruth shows us a reciprocal love relationship between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.
10) Samuel: Samuel cared about Father YAH’s will and not what he could get from Him. Samuel shared Father YAH’s view in all things. He shared Father YAH’s joy and Father YAH’s sadness. We can summarize Samuel’s life as this: He said, "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:36-39 ERV).' Samuel shows us a reciprocal love between a son and a father. He showed us a human’s deliberate choice to love Father YAH and the true love of Father YAH’s representative for Him.
11) Jonathan: Jonathan was more interested in Father YAH’s will for the Hebrews that he loved David as king even if it would mean his father not being king. Jonathan showed us this scripture is true: Some friends are fun to be with, but a true friend can be better than a brother (Pro 18:24 ERV). Jonathan shows us how genuine friends can be found outside a person’s family. He showed us how to seek the best interest for our righteous friends even if we have to rebuke evil family members to do so. Jonathan showed us true friendship between a man and his brother-in-law.
12) Isaiah: Isaiah offered to go declare Father YAH’s will to the Hebrews and to correct them without wanting anything for himself. We can summarize Isaiah’s love for Father YAH with the following scripture: He said, "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:36-39 ERV).' Isaiah shows us a love for Father YAH to eagerly volunteer to do His will. Isaiah chose Father YAH over the people. Isaiah showed us a love from Father YAH’s representative towards Him as he kept looking forward to the completion of Father YAH’s plan.
13) Mary: Mary never asked for payment to birth the Messiah. She was willing to do Father YAH’s will. Mary put Father YAH’s will above her marriage and reputation. She co-operated with Father YAH’s will until the end. We can summarize Mary’s actions as: He said, "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:36-39 ERV).' Mary shows us a love from a daughter to a father. Mary shows us that women can be trusted allies of Father YAH. Mary shows how a human can deliberately choose Father YAH and love Father YAH. Mary shows us how marriage was not a greater dignity for a woman than fulfilling Father YAH’s will and purpose for her life.
14) The Early Church: The early Church shared what they had and prayed for Apostle Peter as though it were their own lives in prison. We can summarize the early church with the following scriptures: You Samaritans worship something you don't understand. We Hebrews understand what we worship, since salvation comes from the Hebrews. But the time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. In fact, that time is now here. And these are the kind of people the Father wants to be his worshipers. God is spirit. So the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth (Jhn 4:22-24 ERV emphasis mine).
"If you love me, you will do what I command (Jhn 14:15 ERV).
“Loving me empowers you to obey my commands (Jhn 14:15 TPT).
Those who really love me are the ones who not only know my commands but also obey them. My Father will love such people, and I will love them. I will make myself known to them (Jhn 14:21 ERV).
Those who truly love me are those who obey my commands. Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love you in return and will manifest my life within you (Jhn 14:21 TPT).
Jesus replied, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place. But those who don’t love me will not obey my words. The Father did not send me to speak my own revelation, but the words of my Father (Jhn 14:23-24 TPT).
Now I am coming to you. I will not stay in the world, but these followers of mine are still in the world. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power of your name—the name you gave me. Then they will be one, just as you and I are one (Jhn 17:11 ERV).
Father, I pray that all who believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me. I gave them this glory so that they can be one, just as you and I are one. I will be in them, and you will be in me. So they will be completely one. Then the world will know that you sent me and that you loved them just as you loved me (Jhn 17:21-23 ERV).
The early Church shows us true fellowship with Father YAH. They show us true love between a believer and Father YAH, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They show us true love among believers. They show us a communion! They show us that Father YAH can indeed have a family on this earth.
King David understood friendship when we look at his dealings with Jonathan and we can see why he saw a wise person in Abigail who turned him back to Father YAH’s path for his life when he was almost making an error to go kill Nabal. However, when selfishness was in sight, King David betrayed his friend (Uriah). Selflessness works both ways in true friendship. Jesus (the Christ) set the example for us for true friendship toward Father YAH (i.e. doing His will), and true friendship towards humanity (i.e. helping them avoid sharing Satan’s punishment of Hell and the Lake of Fire with him). Jesus fulfilled the following scriptures: He said, "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself (Mat 22:36-39 ERV).'
“For God so loved the world (humanity), that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (Jhn 3:16 ESV emphasis mine).
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends (Jhn 15:13 ESV).
Having discussed the difference between fake friendship and true friendship, I would like to introduce you to the greatest friendship any human can have.
The Ultimate Friendship
Friendship with God (i.e. Father YAH) is possible and achievable. Jesus showed us that we can be Father YAH’s friends when He said: I no longer call you servants, because servants don't know what their master is doing. But now I call you friends, because I have told you everything that my Father told me (Jhn 15:15 ERV). Father YAH is just and has integrity. Why? Father YAH keeps His words. This is a consistent character of Father YAH, which King David got to discover when he looked at Father YAH’s character in righteous people. He said: O LORD, who may lodge [as a guest] in Your tent? Who may dwell [continually] on Your holy hill? He/she who walks with integrity and strength of character, and works righteousness, and speaks and holds truth in his/her heart. He/she does not slander with his/her tongue, nor does evil to his/her neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his/her friend; In his/her eyes an evil person is despised, But he/she honors those who fear the LORD [and obediently worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder]. He/she keeps his/her word even to his/her own disadvantage and does not change it [for his/her own benefit]; He/she does not put out his/her money at interest [to a fellow Hebrew], And does not take a bribe against the innocent. He/she who does these things will never be shaken (Psalm 15:1-5 AMP emphasis mine).
If the clarity of God’s character was never His plan, He would never have come in Flesh (Jesus) to show us His ways nor given us His own Holy Spirit as our Teacher. Going through the Holy Bible, there are a few people whose focus on God’s character brought them into deeper revelation about Him and an unending friendship with God (Father YAH) that was beyond a power-centric mindset of God (Father YAH). Such people cared about knowing God (Father YAH) for who He is, not for what they could get from Him, which is similar to how we as humans know that a person genuinely cares about us when they really want to know us independent of what we have or can do for them. A few examples of such people are Moses, Samuel, David, Elijah, Isaiah, John, and James. This is not to put the aforementioned above every other person in the Bible nor is it a means to say that others did not talk about God’s character. However, I use them as examples due to their passion in showing the character of God (Father YAH) to others. This I do to reveal that truly knowing God (Father YAH) always starts with a genuine interest about Him. Yes, their knowledge of God (Father YAH) might not have been perfect because only Jesus showed and taught the accurate (perfect) knowledge of God (Father YAH), yet they were willing to learn about God (Father YAH) directly from Him. Let us take the examples here:
1) Moses’ heart for God (Father YAH) shown in his interest in knowing more about God (Father YAH) created a relationship of closeness not one from a distance with God (Father YAH) e.g. in Exodus 33, and God (Father YAH) responds in Exodus 34:6-7. As a result, we see how this closeness created a passion for the fulfillment of God’s will as seen when Moses wanted God’s people to experience closeness with Him and he ensured that a replacement for him was chosen by God (Father YAH) for the fulfilment of God’s will of getting His people to Canaan since he could not lead them due to his disobedience (Exo 20:20-21; Num 11:28-29; Num 27:15-17; Deu 6:4). Moses loved to share not usurp authority over people and saw God’s Law as life and longevity (Deu 5:33; Deu 30:19-20).
2) Samuel had a passion to teach obedience to God’s will and was always willing to prove God’s unhappiness with the Hebrews’ choices or actions. This he did when he proved God’s unhappiness towards replacing Him as King over them for a human king because they wanted to be like other Satanist nations (1 Sam 8:5-22). Samuel did not have to prove God’s anger but he did because of his love for God (Father YAH) and he wanted God (Father YAH) to get the best that He deserved. Also, we see his passion when he was greatly moved by King Saul’s disobedience towards God (Father YAH) and he went as far as trying to right the wrong the best way he could by killing the king (Agag) whom Saul spared (1 Sam 15:22-23, 32-33). Samuel did not have to but he knew God (Father YAH) deserved to be happy (1 Sam 16:1). God (Father YAH) being able to confide in Samuel was indicative of their friendship (1 Sam 15:10-11). Samuel was never about the money he could get in God’s office of Prophet but about pleasing God (Father YAH) (1 Sam 9:7-8; 1 Sam 12:3-5) hence we never saw Samuel collecting anything from Saul and his servant.
3) David wanted a genuine relationship with God (Father YAH) beyond what he could get from God (Father YAH) (Psa 16:5-6 TPT; Psa 17:15; Psa 62:5-8; Psa 63:3-5; Psa 86:11-12; Psa 105:1-4; 2 Sam 24:22-24). As a result, He loved God’s Law as expressed all through Psalm 119 because it takes knowing and loving God (Father YAH) to love His ways and commands (Psa 15; Psa 112:1-2). God’s words to me on His law, is that it takes knowing who made a law to be able to willingly obey it. Furthermore, we see David’s genuine love for God (Father YAH) shown even when God (Father YAH) had said he could not build a temple for Him. David ensured that he gave enough supplies for the building of the temple in his absence (death) (1 Chr 22). David did not want to be anything on his own by alliance with nations but everything God (Father YAH) could make him that is why he begged to not lose God’s gift of His Holy Spirit which meant a loss of God’s calling on his life just like Saul did (Psa 51:11; 1 Sam 15:11, 28; 2 Sam 7:15). Lastly, David’s trust in God (Father YAH) and closeness with God (Father YAH) was evidence in him wanting to fall into God’s discipline when he disobeyed God (Father YAH) by doing an unauthorized census because he knew God (Father YAH) was more merciful than anyone else which meant Satan (1 Chr 21:1; 2 Sam 24:14). What was King David’s secret? It was that he knew more than his teachers (Psa 119:97-100). How? It was because the Holy Spirit was his Teacher thus the truth the Holy Spirit taught David made him free (Psa 119:101-104).
4) Elijah had a relationship with God (Father YAH) that made him trust God (Father YAH) (1 Kin 17:9- 16) and stay loyal to God (Father YAH) and his cause to the extent of turning people back to God (Father YAH) (1 Kin 18:18-37). God (Father YAH) loved this personality trait of Elijah and spoke about people who would share similar qualities like him making the way for the coming of Jesus (Mal 4:5-6). Elijah was never out for self-glorification but God’s glorification.
5) Isaiah had a close relationship with God (Father YAH) that made him understand God (Father YAH) as love and just similar to those I have mentioned above (Isa 30:18) including Nehemiah.
6) John’s closeness with Jesus was evident through his detailed writing on Jesus’ character in his books, his presence throughout Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion, and his eagerness to see Jesus resurrected (Jhn 1:1-5; 1 Jhn 1:5; 1 Jhn 3:6-22; Jhn 18:16 AMP; Jhn 19:26-27; Jhn 20:4-8 AMP). Any wonder why John was the Apostle Jesus loved and told who His betrayer (Judas Iscariot) was? Jesus never spoke about circumstances of death for John, and gave the book of Revelation through Apostle John to the Church (Jhn 13:23-26; Jhn 21:21-25; Rev 1:9)? John loved Jesus’ commandment (1 Jhn 3:23-24).
7) James, the step-brother of Jesus, vindicated God’s character through his book (Jas 1:13-15; Jas 3:14-18; Jas 4:4). He also loved God’s Law because he knew the character of the person behind the Law as revealed in Jesus (Jas 1:25).
The secret to these seven people irrespective of any mistake they made was their passion to put God’s will above all even if it was not going to be them actually fulfilling it. What is at the heart of God’s will? Obedience to Him! How can obedience come genuinely? It can only come from a genuine relationship with God (Father YAH) which is a product of understanding His character. People who genuinely know God (Father YAH) are those who have an accurate knowledge of God (Father YAH) through the tutelage of the Holy Spirit. As a result, an understanding of God’s character never makes leaving God (Father YAH) an option but makes repentance easier because they don’t want to lose His friendship. We are nothing and have nothing without God (Father YAH). Perfect love comes from perfect trust (perfect faith) which is a result of accuracy in knowledge.
To conclude this piece, I would end with major corrections for the Church of Christ as I look at friendship in the Church of Christ.
Friendship in the Church
Peace has been taken from the Church through Paul’s works. So, it is important for me to share some of the areas the Holy Spirit has opened my eyes to as He proved this point to me when I was also in the dark about it since Paul’s works has been made the dominant work in the Church of Christ over Jesus’ words and works. Aside various manipulations of Paul’s work by Satan and his cohorts, Paul introduced a satanic problem into the Church of Christ of thinking that humans can do a better job than the Holy Spirit in managing the Church of Christ. This was the same pattern used by the Pharisees who hijacked God’s works for their own gain. This repeated action by Paul has actually taken away peace from the Church and has divided it because Paul has given Satan a throne in the Church of Christ. Like I said in a previous teaching, the fact that you do not know the end result of Satan’s goal does not mean you are not co-operating with it by ignoring God’s path. If you tell yourself the truth, you would see those who are compensated by the gain they get from Paul’s work fight anyone who wants to remove Paul’s errors from the Church and they would fight to rather remove the Holy Spirit or Jesus from the Church in place of Paul. If you compare the Holy Spirit’s control of the Church in Acts 2:42-47 where the Twelve Apostles were totally yielded to the Holy Spirit with what we have now, you would see that unity, a united purpose, the necessity for separation from the world, and genuine love in the Church has been lost by the Church for so long. This new order of Paul has taken the Church to the world rather than separated her from the world. This is why it is really difficult for believers to be corrected by the Holy Spirit today. Let’s see what the Church has lost: They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to eating meals together and to prayers. A sense of awe was felt by everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed [in Jesus as Savior] were together and had all things in common [considering their possessions to belong to the group as a whole]. And they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing the proceeds with all [the other believers], as anyone had need. Day after day they met in the temple [area] continuing with one mind, and breaking bread in various private homes. They were eating their meals together with joy and generous hearts, praising God continually, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were being saved (Act 2:42-47 AMP). Look at the rich list of how blessed, united, consecrated to Christ, in love, purpose driven, consistent and coordinated they were under the Holy Spirit versus how the new human “masters” pick and choose which aspect of these verses they let exist in their own churches they claim belongs to Jesus (the Christ). Here is the list:
1) Consistent and true seeking of the knowledge of God (Father YAH) from God’s selected representatives in humility.
2) Everyone felt the difference of being in this family of God (Father YAH) and it led to great respect for God (Father YAH).
3) Truly living like God’s family on earth in fellowship, and doing things together like eating and praying.
4) They enjoyed their own company and separation from the world and genuinely enjoyed their similarities. True friendship existed in the Church.
5) They made willing sacrifices to ensure they shared their resources with one another so they could all be taken care of as the family of God (believers) and be comfortable by helping to meet one another’s needs.
6) There was willingness and consistency in coming to learn about God (Father YAH).
7) They learnt about God’s purpose for the Church and co-operated with His purpose for the Church. There was peace and unison between believers and God (Father YAH) with His purpose.
8) Their relationship and fellowship with one another was genuine and consistent at the temple and in their private homes, as they met to take the communion there as well. There was no faking!
9) They shared meals together willingly and joyfully, which ensured that everyone in the body of Christ was fed with no one left hungry. They truly cared about themselves as brothers and sisters in Christ.
10) They kept the worship of God (Father YAH) at the centre of what they did and praised Him consistently.
11) They found favour with all the people and were respected.
12) Their unity as a family of God (Father YAH) was a witness, and other people got saved and were added to the Church by God (Father YAH) in unity. God (Father YAH) in His omniscience added to His family, not them going in their own mind to bring in unbelief into the Church for numbers. God (Father YAH) adding to the Church ensures quality because He only adds what you need, not what you want.
In going through Paul’s letters to the Corinthians, and Timothy among others, you would see Paul teaching a new system where humans are now the head of Christ’s Church, independent of the Holy Spirit. In seeing how many letters Paul was writing to address questions that the Ten Commandments could have easily addressed if he did not despise the Law, which Jesus kept, you can see how badly his new system was going for him. In comparing Acts 2:42-47 to Paul’s letters, you would see the simplicity in the Holy Spirit’s structure versus the complexity in Paul’s where he thought that new structures could replace the Holy Spirit’s presence in the Church of Christ. For instance, we can see him teaching about having age ranges to help one another like widows, or different new roles (Bishop, Evangelist, Teachers, Deacon, etc.) as development for the Church. Then ask yourself the following questions:
1) Has the Church of Christ gotten better since Paul’s hijack from the Holy Spirit occurred?
2) Are we really doing better without the Holy Spirit?
3) Do people care about listening to the Holy Spirit above Paul?
4) Why do you think Jesus kept using Paul’s churches as an example to His body to correct us on not exalting any human’s teaching over the Holy Spirit’s teaching?
5) Is the Church more respected and distinguished from the world since this hijack took place?
6) Is Jesus seen in the Church or humans?
7) Is God’s purpose for the Church seen and is there unison between the Church and God’s will for her?
Tell yourself the truth! When the Holy Spirit of Truth was the boss of the Church of Christ, Jesus was always seen. Now, many claim to want a Church without the Holy Spirit as a guise to bring in the exaltation of humans and Satan in the Church. The body of Christ gained under the Holy Spirit but under this new order of Paul, only some are gaining. Before this, could anyone dare to have a Church without the Holy Spirit? Was Jesus preached by His Twelve Apostles without the Holy Spirit as Jesus’ gift to believers (Act 2:38)? How can any human have salvation without the Holy Spirit’s help and spiritual rebirth (Jhn 3:5-8)? Why then do we have supposed “churches” today who say they believe in Jesus but do not believe in the Holy Spirit and want Him silent? It is because Paul began an order that permitted people to cut out an inheritance for themselves in Jesus Christ’s ministry. Thus, through recurrent visits and letters to Christ’s Church that the Holy Spirit had previously worked with him (Paul) to establish, he (Paul) found an opportunity to steal ownership of them by making himself the discerning voice they listened to. This is how Paul and every follower of Paul have encouraged the silencing of the Holy Spirit in His Church today. To silence the Holy Spirit means the silencing of Jesus Christ (the Master), and the Heavenly Father Himself since it is His Holy Spirit that is on earth with us. The Holy Spirit and the Heavenly Father are one and the same person, i.e. YAH. Repent Church! Listen to what the Holy Spirit says to the Church!
